Cinema inside Camp Hitfeld (Germany)

Military camp 'Hitfeld'

This camp is build in 1946. After the WW2 the ally troups took over the camp.

The BSD (Belgium army in Germany) was responsable for almost 60 years of allied occupation in Nordrhein Westfalen. This part was under control of the United kingdom after the WW2 and the Belgium army did his work here together with the UK army.
The camp in Hitfeld was used for distribution of military goods and post. Letters and packages for every Belgium camp in Germany was first transported to Hitfeld.

When the Belgium Army left the barracks on the outskirts of Aachen in the early 90s, most of the buildings have fallen into decay. The buildings got trashed and vandalised. There are no future plans for this camp.

thanks :)

The angle was actually a necessity as i didn't have my tripod with me, and i used another (fixed) chair for support. Glad it came out the way I intended it.
